The AD4130-8BCBZ is an ultra-low power, high accuracy measurement solution for applications operating with low bandwidth batteries. The fully integrated analogue front end (AFE) includes multiplexers for up to 16 single-ended or 8 differential inputs, programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), 24-bit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs), on-chip reference voltages and oscillators, selectable filter options, intelligent timing controllers, sensor bias and excitation options, diagnostics and new additions that improve the use of battery operation (over 5 years from a single coin cell battery), i.e. FIFO buffers and duty cycle.
The AD4130-8BCBZ is designed to support user operation from a single analogue supply voltage of 1.71 V to 3.6 V. In battery applications, operation down to 1.71 V extends system life, as the AFE can continue to operate even if the battery voltage disappears. The digital power supply can be independent and can range from 1.65 V to 3.6 V.
