The DRV10983ZPWPR device is a three-phase sensorless motor driver with an integrated power MOSFET that provides up to 2A continuous drive current. The device is designed for cost-sensitive, low noise, low external component count applications where low power consumption is a key issue.
The DRV10983ZPWPR device uses a proprietary sensorless control scheme to provide a continuous sinusoidal drive that significantly reduces the pure tones typically generated during commutation. The device's interface design is simple and flexible. The motor can be controlled directly via PWM, analogue, or I2C inputs. Motor speed feedback can be provided via the FG pin or I2C.
DRV10983ZPWPR device safety features include an integrated buck regulator that efficiently steps down the supply voltage to 5V or 3.3V to power internal and external circuits. The device is available in both sleep mode and standby mode models to save energy when the motor stops running. The standby mode (3mA) model keeps the regulator running, while the sleep mode (180µA) model stops the regulator. Use standby mode models in applications where the regulator is used to power an external microcontroller.
