The TPS7A33 series linear regulators are negative voltage (-36V), ultra-low noise (16µVRMS, 72dB PSRR) linear regulators capable of supplying loads up to 1A.
The TPS7A33 series is fitted with a compensated metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) logic level compatible enable pin (EN), which allows for user-customisable power management schemes. Other features offered include built-in current limit and thermal shutdown to protect the device and system in the event of a fault.
Due to the predominant use of bipolar technology in the design, the TPS7A33 is suitable for highly accurate, high precision measurement instrumentation applications where a well-regulated voltage rail is critical for maximum system performance. This feature makes the devices ideal for powering operational amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and other high performance analog circuits.
In addition, the TPS7A33 series linear regulators are suitable for post DC/DC converter voltage regulation. By filtering out the output voltage ripple inherent in DC/DC switching conversions, system performance is optimised in sensitive instrumentation, medical, test and measurement, audio and radio frequency (RF) applications.
For applications requiring positive and negative high performance power rails, the TPS7A4700 forward high voltage, ultra low noise, low dropout linear regulator can also be considered.
