The ADAU1966AWBSTZ-RL is a high-performance, single-chip digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with 16 built-in Dacs providing differential or single-ended output using ADI's multi-digit Sigma-δ patented architecture. It has a serial Peripheral interface (SPI)/I2C port, which the microcontroller uses to adjust volume and many other parameters. The ADAU1966A is powered by a 2.5V digital power supply and a 3.3V analog power supply with a built-in linear regulator to generate a digital power supply voltage from an analog power supply voltage.
