Infineon introduces the new PSoC™ vehicle grade 4100S Max series. With improved flash density, universal Input/Output interface (GPIO), CAN-FD and hardware security, this family of microcontroller devices extends Infineon's portfolio of human machine interface (HMI) solutions for automotive body/Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and steering wheel applications using CAPSENSE™ technology.

The PSoC™ Gauge Grade 4100S Max series is particularly suitable for automotive HMI applications that require a range of requirements, such as low power consumption, multiple sensing pins (more than 50), optimised system refresh rates with configurable scan times, high-speed communications (CAN-FD, I2C), and more. And dedicated hardware encryption that can offload the main CPU while enhancing security. The device has up to 84 GPIOs and 384 KB of flash memory (the largest PSoC4 flash memory in its class).

The PSoC™ 4100S Max is AECQ-100 certified to withstand ambient temperatures up to 125 °C and supports ASIL-B (to ISO 26262), helping integrators achieve system-level compliance for automotive applications.
