The MP8030GQJ-Z 802.3af/at/bt PoE PD power converter features a high efficiency flyback/forward controller. The PD interface on the device provides all the features of IEEE 802.3af/at/bt.

The MP8030GQJ-Z power converter integrates a 100V hot-swappable MOSFET for ≤51W applications and a GATE1 driver to improve efficiency in high power applications (>51W) The GATE2 driver provides an external low on-resistance N-channel MOSFET to prevent high power loss when the adapter powers the MP8030.

The flyback/forward controller is designed for primary side regulation (PSR) flyback applications and secondary side regulation (SSR) active clamp forward applications. The device can also be used in SSR flyback topologies.
