The ADBMS1818ASWZ-RL is a multi-stack monitor capable of measuring up to 18 series-connected batteries with a total measurement error (TME) of less than 3.0 mV. Battery measurement ranges from 0 V to 5 V, making the ADBMS1818 suitable for most battery chemistry. All 18 units can be measured in 290µs, and low data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction.

The ADBMS1818 can be powered directly from a battery pack or isolated power supply. The ADBMS1818 includes passive balancing for each unit with a separate pulse-width modulation (PWM) duty ratio control. Additional features include onboard 5v regulators, 9 universal I/O wires, and Sleep mode, where current consumption is reduced to 6µa.
