The LTC4359CMS8 is a forward high voltage ideal diode controller that drives an external N-channel MOSFET in place of a Schottky diode. It controls the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET controls the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET to ensure smooth current delivery without oscillation, even at light loads. A fast shutdown function minimises transient reverse current if a power supply fault or short circuit occurs. Shutdown mode reduces quiescent current to shutdown mode, which reduces the quiescent current of the load switch to 9μA.
