The ADM1278-2ACPZ-RL is a hot-swappable controller that allows the board to be removed from a live backplane or plugged in. It also features read-back of current, voltage, power and temperature via an integrated 12-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), accessible via the PMBus™ interface. Load current is measured via an internal current sense amplifier which measures the voltage across the sense resistor in the power path via the HS+ and HS- pins. The default current limit is 20 mV, but this limit can be adjusted if required.
