The HMC462LP5ETR is a GaAs MMIC PHEMT low-noise distributed amplifier die that operates over the 2 to 20 GHz frequency range. The amplifier provides 15 dB gain, 2.0 to 2.5 dB noise figure, and +15 dBm output power (with 1 dB of gain compression), and consumes only 63 mA of power from a single +5V supply. The HMC462 provides excellent gain flatness of ±0.5 dB over the 6 - 18 GHz range, making it suitable for EW, ECM, and radar applications. The HMC462LP5ETR operates from a single +5V supply (63 mA) and is a self-biased version of the HMC463. The wideband amplifier I/Os are internally matched to 50 Ω, facilitating easy integration into multi-chip modules (MCMs). All data is measured using a chip in a 50 Ω test fixture connected by 0.025 mm (1 mil) diameter solder wire with a minimum length of 0.31 mm (12 mils).
