The LTC2875IDD is a rugged, high-speed, low-power CAN transceiver that operates from a 3.3V or 5V power supply and provides ±60V overvoltage fault protection on the data transmission line in all modes of operation, including power-down. The maximum data rate has been extended to 4Mbps to support high-speed protocols based on the CAN physical layer. Enhanced ESD protection allows these devices to withstand ±25kV HBM on the transceiver interface pins without device lockout or damage.

An extended input common-mode range of ±36V and high common-mode rejection on the CAN transceiver provide tolerance to large ground loop voltages. A fine CAN driver with source symmetry control maintains tight control of common-mode voltages for excellent EME performance, while variable slew rate and separate termination support further reduce EME.
