The TJA1043T is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides an interface between a Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol controller and a physical two-wire CAN bus. Built for high-speed CAN applications in the automotive industry, the transceiver provides the ability to send and receive differential signals to and from the CAN protocol controller (in the microcontroller).
The TJA1043T is NXP Semiconductors' third-generation high-speed CAN transceiver and offers significant improvements over first- and second-generation devices such as the TJA1041A. It improves electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) performance with extremely low power consumption and passive performance when the supply voltage is off. Advanced features include:
Low-power power management controls power to the entire node with both local and remote wake-up support and wake-up source identification
Multiple protection and diagnostic features, including bus line short detection and battery connection detection
Direct connection to microcontrollers with supply voltages from 3V to 5V.
