The LTC4359CS8 is a forward high-voltage ideal diode controller that drives an external N-channel MOSFET in place of a Schottky diode. It controls the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET to ensure smooth current delivery without oscillation, even at light loads. A fast shutdown function minimises transient reverse currents in the event of a power failure or short circuit. The shutdown mode reduces quiescent current to 9μA for the load switch.
