The LTC4353CDE controls an external N-channel MOSFET for ideal diode function. It replaces two high-power Schottky diodes and their associated heat sinks, saving power and board area. The ideal diode function allows low-loss power ORing and power-hold applications. The forward voltage drop across the MOSFETs can be adjusted to ensure smooth current transfer in diode OR applications. Fast turn-on reduces load voltage dips during power switching.
