The LTC2927ITS8 provides a simple solution to power supply tracking and sequencing requirements. By selecting a few resistors, the power supply can be set to ramp up and ramp down at different ramp rates, voltage offsets, or voltage biases. By applying current to the feedback node of a separate power supply the output can be made to track the ramp signal without inserting any path element losses. Because the current is controlled in an open-loop fashion, it does not affect the transient response or stability of the power supply. The compact point-of-load solution minimises the sensitive FB node of the DC/DC circuit.
