The MAX17691AATC isolated flyback converter is a high-efficiency optocouplerless integrated nMOSFET flyback converter with fixed-frequency peak current mode control. The device senses the isolated output voltage directly from the primary-side flyback waveform during the integrated nMOSFET turn-off time. A precise, isolated, regulated output voltage is provided without the need for a secondary-side error amplifier and optocoupler, resulting in PCB space savings of up to 20% (which is typically required for conventional flyback converters).
