The MAX20419ATGO/V is a high-efficiency, 3-output, low-voltage DC-DC converter IC. OUT1 boosts the input supply to 5V at up to 750mA, while the two synchronous buck converters, with input operating voltages from 3.0V to 5.5V, provide output voltages from 0.8V to 3.8V at up to 3.6A. The boost converter and buck converter have output errors of ±1.9% and ±1.4% over load, line and temperature ranges, respectively. The ICs feature a 2.2MHz fixed-frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode for better immunity and load transient response performance, and a pulse-frequency modulation mode (hopping) for improved efficiency under light-load conditions. the 2.2MHz operating frequency supports the use of all-ceramic capacitors and effectively reduces external component count. Programmable spread spectrum modulation fully reduces electromagnetic emissions. An integrated low RDS(ON) switch improves efficiency at heavy loads, making the layout simpler than discrete solutions.
The IC provides factory preset output voltages. Other features include soft-start, over-current, and over-temperature protection.The MAX20419ATGO/V also features a variety of redundancy and diagnostic functions to support ASIL-rated applications.
