The LT3798EMSE is a constant voltage/constant current isolated flyback controller that combines active power factor correction (PFC) with output voltage feedback without an optocoupler. The controller combines active power factor correction (PFC) with output voltage feedback without an optocoupler in a single-stage converter. The LT3798-based design achieves a power factor greater than 0.97 by actively modulating the input current, voltage feedback, and power factor to meet most harmonic current emissions requirements. The input range can be extended or reduced, depending on the choice of external components. With efficiencies greater than 86% and output powers up to 100 W, they can also be easily designed for high DC input applications.
