The ADPD188GG-ACEZRL is a complete photometric system designed to measure light signals from ambient light and synchronised reflected light emitting diode (LED) pulses. Synchronised measurements provide best-in-class rejection of ambient light interference, DC and AC interference. The module integrates a high-efficiency photometric front-end, two LEDs and two photodiodes (PDs). All of these are housed in a customised package that prevents light from travelling directly from the LEDs to the photodiodes without first entering the object under test. The front-end of the ASIC includes a control block, a 14-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and three flexible, independently configurable LED drivers, independently configurable LED drivers.
