The ISL76683AROZ is an integrated optical sensor with an internal integrated ADC, suitable for automotive applications. This ADC offers 16-bit resolution and is capable of suppressing 50Hz and 60Hz flicker caused by artificial light sources. The I2C interface offers four user-programmable illuminance sensitivity ranges, which can optimize the count/illuminance under various lighting conditions. The I2C interface also provides multi-functional control and remote monitoring functions for sensors. When operating normally, the power consumption is less than 300μA. In addition, the software power-off mode controlled by the I2C interface can reduce power consumption to below 1μA.

The ISL76683AROZ supports twin (upper and lower limit) user programming thresholds and provides a hardware interrupt that will keep the set low until the host clears the threshold through the I2C control interface. The ISL76683AROZ is designed to operate on a power supply ranging from 2.5V to 3. 3V, in compliance with the AEC-Q100 standard, and specified to operate within an ambient temperature range of -40 °C to 105 °C (Class 2). To achieve this goal, the ISL76683 Aroz is packaged in a special extended temperature transparent package.
