The HMC747LC3CTR is a D-type flip-flop designed to support data transfer rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. During normal operation, data is transferred to the output on the rising edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input enables negative edge triggering applications. The HMC747LC3CTR also provides an output level control pin, VR, which may be utilised for loss compensation or signal level optimisation.

All input and output signals of the HMC747LC3CTR are terminated at 50 Ω to the on-chip Vcc and support either AC or DC coupling. Inputs and outputs may be directly connected to a 50 Ω Vcc-terminated system, whilst DC-blocking capacitors may be employed if 50 Ω termination to ground is employed. The HMC747LC3CTR operates from a single +3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
