The ADPD188BI-ACEZR7 is a complete smoke photometric detection system with dual wavelength optics. The module integrates a high-efficiency photometric front-end, two light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and two photodiodes (PDs). These photodiodes (PDs) go directly from the LEDs into the photodiodes without first entering the smoke detection chamber. The front end of the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) includes a control block, a 14-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and three flexible, independently configurable LED drivers. The control circuitry includes flexible LED signalling and synchronised detection. The analogue front end (AFE) has best-in-class signal offset and signal corruption rejection.
