The TDA7708SCBTR is a single-chip, full CMOS AM/FM tuner intended primarily for use in terrestrial radio broadcast receivers.The TDA7708SCBTR combines state-of-the-art performance with a minimum number of external components, making it ideally suited for integration into car radios and other devices. It is therefore ideally suited for integration into car radios and other radio equipment where performance, quality, reliability and dependability are paramount. This low external component count is made possible by the use of cutting-edge circuitry and implementation techniques that overcome the major challenges affecting its performance.The TDA7708SCBTR features multiple front-end low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) covering the AMLW/MW/SW bands and the entire FM band, with advanced automatic gain control (AGC) amplifiers and mixer stages. After on-chip IF filtering, the TDA7708S digitises the signal using a high dynamic range ADC. It is capable of handling complex phase quadrature baseband signals, allowing processing of complex phase quadrature baseband signals for applications such as multipath noise suppression and integrated RDS decoding.
