The LM5140QRWGRQ1 is a dual synchronous buck controller for high voltage, wide VIN buck converter applications. The control method is based on current mode control. Current mode control provides inherent line feedforward, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and simplified loop compensation.

Input operating voltage range of 3.8V to 65V (up to 70V absolute)

Two interleaved buck controllers with the following voltage characteristics:

VOUT1: 3.3V, 5V fixed or 1.5V to 15V

Adjustable voltage with ±1% accuracy

VOUT2: 5V, 8V fixed or 1.5V to 15V

Adjustable voltage with ±1% accuracy

2.2MHz or 440kHz fixed switching frequency with ±7% accuracy

Optional synchronisation with external clock

SYNC output clock for additional converters

Shutdown mode current: 9µA (typical)

No-load standby current: 35µA typical (single channel operation)

Current limit thresholds programmable to 50mV or 75mV with ±10% accuracy

Independent enable inputs for VOUT1 and VOUT2

Intermittent mode protection for sustained overload conditions

Independent power normal outputs

High and low side gate drivers with adjustable slew rate control

Selectable diode emulation or continuous conduction for light load conditions

Ultra-thin quad-flat leadless (VQFN)-40 package with wettable sides
