The LP875761ARNFRQ1 device is designed to meet the power management requirements of new processors and platforms in a variety of automotive power applications. The device consists of four step-down DC/DC converter cores configured as four-phase outputs with forced PWM mode. The device is controlled by an I2C compatible serial interface and enable signals.
The LP875761ARNFRQ1 supports remote differential voltage sensing of the multi-phase outputs to compensate for the IR voltage drop between the regulator output and the point-of-load (POL) to improve output voltage accuracy. The switching clock can be forced into PWM mode and synchronised to an external clock for greater interference reduction.
The LP875761ARNFRQ1 device supports load current measurement without the need for an external current sense resistor. The device also supports programmable startup and shutdown delays and sequences synchronised with the enable signal. These sequences may also include GPIO signals to control external regulators, load switches, and processor reset. During startup, the device controls the output slew rate to minimise output voltage overshoot and inrush current.
