The MAX16962SAUEA/V is a high efficiency, synchronous, step-down converter that operates over a 2.7V to 5.5V input voltage range and provides a 0.8V to 3.6V output voltage range. The wide input/output voltage range and load drive capability of up to 4A make it ideal for point-of-load and back-end regulation.The MAX16962 maintains output error within -3.7%/+2.6% over the entire load, supply, and temperature range.
The MAX16962 can operate in 2.2MHz fixed-frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response, or in pulse frequency modulation (SKIP) mode to ensure efficient operation at light loads. 2.2MHz operating frequency allows the use of full ceramic capacitors to minimise external components. Selectable spread spectrum regulation effectively suppresses electromagnetic radiation.
The MAX16962SAUEA/V is available in a 16-pin, TSSOP-EP package with enhanced thermal dissipation and an automotive-grade operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The MAX16962SAUEA/V is also available in a TSSOP-EP package with enhanced thermal dissipation.
