The MAX20472ATCB/V are high-efficiency, low-voltage DC-DC converters capable of boosting a 3.0V to 4.0V input supply to 3.8V to 5.25V (factory-configurable) at 500mA or 1A. The boost converters achieve an output error of ±1.5 percent over the load, line, and temperature ranges. The device features a 2.2MHz (2.0MHz for MAX20472B) fixed frequency PWM mode. The fixed-frequency PWM mode provides better noise immunity and load transient response and pulse frequency modulation mode (frequency hopping) for improved efficiency in light-load operation. 2.2MHz/2.0MHz frequency operation allows the use of all ceramic capacitors and minimises external components. Programmable spread spectrum frequency modulation minimises radiated electromagnetic emissions. An integrated low RDSON switch improves efficiency at heavy loads and makes layout work much easier. Other features include True Shutdown™, soft start, overcurrent and thermal protection.
