The MAX16904SATB33/V is a small synchronous buck converter with integrated high-side and low-side switches. The device delivers 600mA at input voltages from +3.5V to +28V, with a no-load quiescent current of only 25µA. Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal, and the MAX16904 operates at 97% duty cycle, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications.

The MAX16904SATB33/V operates at a 2.1MHz switching frequency, allowing the use of small external components with sufficiently low output ripple. The device ensures that there is no AM band signal interference. To optimise system performance, the programmable SYNC input enables three frequency modes to be set: forced fixed frequency, pulse-hopping mode (25µA ultra-low quiescent current) and external clock synchronisation. The customisable MAX16904 provides spread spectrum modulation to reduce EMI emissions from frequency modulation.

The MAX16904SATB33/V is available in an enhanced thermal 3mm x 3mm, 10-pin TDFN package and operates over the -40°C to +125°C automotive-grade temperature range.
