The AD7680BRMZ is a 16-bit, fast, low-power, successive-approximation ADC that operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and has a maximum throughput of 100 kSPS. The device has a built-in, low-noise, wide-bandwidth sample-and-hold amplifier that handles input frequencies above 7 MHz.

The conversion process and the data acquisition process are controlled via CS and a serial clock, thus setting the stage for interfacing the device with a microprocessor or DSP. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of the CS and the conversion is initiated here at the same time. The device has no pipeline delay.

The AD7680BRMZ uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power consumption at high throughput. The reference voltage is derived from VDD, providing the widest dynamic input range for the ADC, resulting in an analogue input range of 0 to VDD. The conversion rate is dependent on the SCLK frequency.
