The AD7989-1BCPZ is an 18-bit, successive-approximation analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) with a single VDD supply. It has a built-in low-power, high-speed, 18-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the rising edge of CNV, the AD7989-1 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN- pins, which typically swing in opposite phase from 0 V to VREF. The reference voltage (REF) is externally supplied and can be independent of the supply voltage (VDD). Power consumption and throughput rate vary linearly.

The SPI-compatible serial interface is also capable of daisy-chaining several ADCs onto a single three-wire bus using the SDI input. It is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, or 5 V logic when using independently powered VIO.

The AD7989-1BCPZ is available in a 10-pin LFCSP package and is rated for operation over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
