The AD7680BRJZ is a 16-bit, fast, low-power, successive-approximation ADC. The AD7680BRJZ device operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply and has a throughput rate of up to 100 kSPS. The device includes a low-noise, wide-bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 7 MHz. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CS and a serial clock, allowing the device to interface with a microprocessor or DSP. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of the CS and the conversion is initiated at that point. There are no pipeline delays and the AD7680BRJZ uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power consumption at fast throughput rates. The reference reference voltage is taken from the internal VDD, providing the widest dynamic input range for the ADC. As a result, the analogue input range of the device is 0 V to VDD, and the conversion rate is determined by the SCLK frequency.
