The AD7685CRMZ is a 16-bit, charge-redistribution, successive-approximation analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) powered by a single 2.3 V to 5.5 V supply (VDD). The device incorporates a low-power, high-speed, 16-bit lossless sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, and a versatile serial interface port. A low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay sample-and-hold circuit is also integrated. On the rising edge of CNV, the device samples the analogue input voltage difference between IN+ and IN- from 0 V to REF. The reference voltage (REF) is externally supplied and can be set up to the supply voltage.
Its power consumption and throughput vary linearly.
The SPI-compatible serial interface is also capable of daisy-chaining several ADCs onto a single three-wire bus using the SDI input, or providing an optional busy indication. The device is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, or 5V logic when using a separate power supply VIO.
The AD7685CRMZ is available in a 10-pin MSOP package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
