The AD7738BRUZ is a high-precision, high-throughput analogue front-end that achieves true 16-bit peak-to-peak resolution and 117 µs total conversion time (8.5 kHz channel switching), making it ideally suited for high-resolution multiplexing applications.
The AD7738BRUZ features a sigma-delta architecture with up to 24-bit lossless performance. The device can be configured via an easy-to-use digital interface to balance noise performance and data throughput to achieve conversion rates up to 15.4 kHz. The analogue front-end can be configured as eight single-ended inputs or four fully differential input channels with unipolar or bipolar 625 mV, 1.25 V and 2.5 V inputs, as well as common-mode input voltages ranging from AGND +200 mV to AVDD -300 mV. Multiplexer output pins are also provided to allow users to pre-programme gain or signal conditioning prior to inputting signals to the ADC. The differential reference voltage input has a "no reference voltage" detection function. The ADC also supports a per-channel system calibration option.
