The 5L1503L-000NVGI is a small-sized programmable clock generator launched by (Renesas), designed for low-power, consumer electronics, battery-powered applications, wearable devices and smart devices. The 5L1503L-000NVGI adopts a 1 PLL + DCO architecture design and features an external fundamental crystal oscillator or clock input. It allows up to three unique frequency outputs. The 5L1503 features built-in unique functions such as Active Energy Saving (PPS) and ultra-Low Power DCO to support the system date/time holding clock at 32.768kHz.

This clock generator mainly has the following functions:

The Active Power Saving (PPS) function can save power when the terminal device is powered off

The Dynamic Frequency Control (DFC) function allows for programming up to four different frequencies that can be dynamically switched

The multi-output clock amplitudes (1V, 1.1V, 1.2V and 1.8V) support low swing clock requirements

Dedicated 32kHz output with 6 clock amplitude options (5L - 1503L)

It can be configured through OTP programming

Spread spectrum clock support (5L1503S)

1.8V working power supply voltage

2 × 2 mm 10-VFQFPN package
