The ADM7171ACPZ-1.8 is a CMOS, low dropout (LDO) linear regulator that operates from a 2.3 V to 6.5 V supply and provides up to 1 A of output current. This high output current LDO is ideal for regulating high performance analogue and mixed-signal circuits operating from 6 V to as low as 1.2 V supply rails. The device's advanced proprietary architecture provides high supply rejection ratio and low noise, and requires only a small 4.7 μF ceramic output capacitor to achieve excellent voltage and load transient response. Load transient response is typically 1.5 μs (for 1 mA to 500 mA load steps).

Available in an 8-pin, 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP package, the ADM7171ACPZ-1.8 is not only a very compact solution, but also offers excellent thermal performance for applications requiring up to 1 A output current in a low profile and small footprint.
