The MAX5861TEXA is an integrated high-density SCQAM and OFDM downlink cable modulator, digital upconverter (DUC), and RF digital-to-analog converter (RF-DAC).The MAX5861 is DOCSIS 3.1 compliant and is optimized for converged cable access platform (CCAP) hardware.The MAX5861 performs baseband I/Q symbol-to-RF upconversion to digitally synthesise an optional combination of SCQAM and OFDM modules through a single RF port. Up to six 192MHz SCQAM or OFDM channel module combinations can be initiated simultaneously, with one module defined as either a 32 X 6MHz (or 24 X 8MHz) SCQAM channel or an OFDM channel (with bandwidths up to 192MHz).
