The LTC5599IUF is a direct-conversion I/Q modulator designed for low-power wireless applications, enabling direct modulation of differential baseband I and Q signals over an RF carrier. Single sideband modulation or sideband rejection upconversion is possible. Single sideband modulation or sideband rejection upconversion is achieved by applying a 90° phase shift signal to the I and Q inputs.The I/Q baseband input ports can be ac or dc coupled to a common-mode voltage level of approximately 1.4 V. The SPI interfaces control the power supply currents, modulator gain, and allow for optimisation of the low-level carrier feedthrough and sideband rejection.
