The MAX16972AGEEB is an automotive-grade Hi-Speed USB protector that provides extremely high ESD and short-circuit protection for internal low-voltage USB data and USB power cables, ideal for use in car radios, navigation, connected products, and USB hubs, among other applications. The MAX16972AGEEB features two 4.0Ω low on-resistance, high-speed USB switches and a 31mΩ low-voltage, current-limited BUS switch with an integrated external high-voltage power switching controller. the BUS switches can activate large capacitive loads that are not USB compliant.
