MAX16972AGEEA: 3A, Automotive Grade, High Speed USB Protector, QSOP-16

The MAX16972AGEEA provides extremely high ESD and short-circuit protection for internal low-voltage USB data and USB power cables, ideal for use in applications such as car radios, navigation, connected products, and USB hubs. The device supports both high-speed USB (480Mbps) and full-speed USB (12Mbps) operation.

The MAX16972AGEEA features two 4.0Ω low ON-resistance, high-speed USB switches and a 31mΩ low-voltage, current-limited BUS switch with an integrated external high-voltage power switching controller.The BUS switch activates large capacitive loads that are not USB compliant.
