The TMS320F28377DPTPQ dual-core microcontroller is a 32-bit floating-point microcontroller unit (MCU) designed for advanced closed-loop control applications. These applications include industrial drive and servo motor control, solar inverters and converters, digital power, transportation and power line communications. the TMS320F28377DPTPQ supports the new dual-core C28x architecture, which significantly improves system performance while integrating analogue and control peripherals. This allows designers to consolidate control architectures, eliminating the need for multiple processors in high-end systems. The family features two CLA real-time control coprocessors, a standalone 32-bit floating-point processor that runs at the same speed as the main CPU. the CLA responds to peripheral triggers and executes code simultaneously with the main C28x CPU. This parallel processing capability effectively doubles the computational performance of a real-time control system.
