The HMC524ALC3B is a compact GaAs MMIC I/Q mixer in a RoHS compliant pinless SMT ceramic package. The device can be used as a mirror rejection mixer or a single-side upconverter. The mixer features two standard double-balanced mixer units and a 90-degree hybrid device, all fabricated using the GaAs MESFET process. The low-frequency quadrature hybrid device is used to generate a 100 MHz IF output. This product provides a compact alternative to hybrid mirror suppression mixers and single-sided upconverter assemblies. The HMC524ALC3B does not require wire bonding and can be fabricated using surface mount fabrication techniques.
