The HMC525ALC4 is a gallium arsenide (GaAs) single-chip microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), in-phase quadrature (I/Q) mixer in a RoHS-compliant, 24-pin, ceramic lead-free chip carrier (LCC) package. The device can be used as a mirror rejection mixer or as a single-side upconverter. The mixer uses two standard double-balanced mixer cells and a 90° hybrid device, both on a GaAs metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) process.The HMC525ALC4 is a small replacement for hybrid mirror rejection mixers and single-sideband on-converter assemblies.The HMC525ALC4 eliminates the need for in-line soldering and allows for the use of surface mount fabrication techniques.
