Product Description

The TMC5272AWX Stepper Motor controller is a high-performance two-axis stepper controller and driver IC with serial communication interfaces (SPI and UART). The DC voltage range of the motor controller is 2.1V to 20V. The TMC5272AWX stepper motor controller is equipped with four 20V half-bridges. The controller features high integration, high energy efficiency and small size, enabling miniature and scalable systems for cost-effective solutions. TMC5272AWX controller diagnostics and protection features include short-circuit protection, overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lock.


The TMC5272AWX controller is ideal for wearables, personal portable devices, optical systems, CCTV, small printing, scanning equipment, laboratory and office automation, and space-constrained stepper motor applications.


The TMC5272AWX has the following features:

Four 20V half-bridges

Low RDS(ON) (HS+LS) : 0.31Ω (typical value, TA= 25°C)

Rated current for each H-bridge (typical at 25 °C) :
