The SE4150L is a highly integrated GPS receiver IC offering high performance and low power operation in a wide range of low cost applications. It is particularly suitable for high sensitivity L1 band GPS systems.

The SE4150L is ideal for GPS receivers requiring dual antenna inputs.The SE4150L includes two RF inputs with integrated antenna switches and external active antenna current detection. A high linearity on-chip low noise amplifier is used for one of the inputs, allowing the SE4150L to be used in multifunctional wireless systems without the need for an additional external low noise amplifier device. A fully integrated image reject low IF mixer is used in conjunction with a linear AGC, an on-chip IF filter and a 2-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC).

The SE4150L features two gain control modes to optimise the performance of the LNA and mixer for systems requiring high signal processing or systems requiring minimal supply current.

The SE4150L synthesiser is fully integrated and includes a VCO and PLL loop filter. The synthesiser can operate from a reference frequency of 16.368 MHz, typically using an external TCXO.

The SE4150L is optimised for operation from a 3.3V core supply. It incorporates a current controlled low spurious output buffer which can be operated from a separate external power supply. The output buffer provides sufficient current to directly drive a load of up to 15 pF.
