Product Description

The LT3932EUFD#PBF uses the Silent Switcher®<.sup> architecture for greater reduction of EMI/EMC emissions, utilizing fixed frequency, peak current control and providing PWM dimming for the LED strings.The LED current is programmed via analog voltage or pulse duty cycle on the CTRL pin. The output voltage limit can be set via a resistive voltage divider connected to the FB pin.


The switching frequency is programmable via an external resistor connected to the RT pin or an external clock on the SYNC/SPRD pin, and ranges from 200kHz to 2MHz. when the optional spread spectrum function is enabled, the frequency varies from 100% to 125% to reduce EMI. when external signals are not available, the LT3932 also includes drivers for driving an external high end PMOS to for PWM dimming and an internal PWM signal generator for analogue control of PWM dimming.


Other features include LED current monitoring, precise EN/UVLO pin thresholds, open-drain fault reporting for open and short-circuit load conditions and thermal shutdown.
