The HMC908ALC5 is a compact gallium arsenide (GaAs) microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) downconverter on a RoHS compliant ceramic leadless chip carrier. The device provides 11 dB of small-signal conversion gain with a 2 dB noise figure and 25 dB of mirror rejection at 100 MHz.

The HMC908ALC5 uses a mirror rejection mixer after the low noise amplifier (LNA), which is driven by a local oscillator (LO) buffer amplifier. The mirror rejection mixer eliminates the need for a filter behind the LNA and eliminates thermal noise at the mirror frequency.
