The 230mOhm IPBE65R230CFD7AATMA1 in the D2PAK 7-pin package is part of the automotive grade certified 650V CoolMOS™ SJ power MOSFET CFD7A family. Compared to its predecessor, the CoolMOS™ CFD7A offers higher reliability and power density with enhanced design flexibility. Customers benefit from better efficiency and thermal performance when using Infineon's 650 V CoolMOS™ CFD7A technology in combination with the D2PAK 7-pin package. the Kelvin source concept used in the D2PAK 7-pin (driver-source pin) overcomes the limitations caused by source inductance and improves switching performance. The advantage at system level (especially at high currents) is therefore reduced switching losses and heat. In addition, the creepage distance between drain and source/gate is increased by 4.2 mm, facilitating the use of devices at battery voltage levels up to 475 V.
