The TLE4955CXAMA1 Differential Hall Sensor IC detects motion in geared magnetic encoder applications. In order to detect the motion of a ferromagnetic object, the magnetic field must be supplied by a reverse-biased permanent magnet. The south or North Pole of the magnet can be attached to the unmarked side of the back of the IC package. The magnetic measurement is based on three equally spaced Hall elements and is integrated on an IC.
