The DAC38RF80IAAVR is a high-performance, dual/single-channel, 14-bit, 9GSPS, RF-sampling digital-to-analog converter (DAC) capable of synthesising broadband signals in the 0GHz to 4.5GHz range. The high dynamic range allows the DAC38RFxx family to generate signals for a variety of applications, including 3G/4G signals for wireless base stations and radar.
The device features a low-power JESD204B interface with up to eight channels at a maximum bit rate of 12.5Gbps/channel and a composite input data rate of 1.25GSPS/channel. the DAC38RFxx provides two digital upconverters per channel with a variety of interpolation rate options. A digital quadrature modulator with frequency-flexible independent NCOs can be used to support multi-band operation. An optional low-jitter PLL/VCO simplifies DAC sample clock generation by allowing the use of a lower frequency reference clock.
