The MC17XS6400DEK is SMARTMOS' latest achievement in automotive lighting drivers. It offers the perfect combination of flexibility and reliability through daisy-chained SPI 5.0 MHz, extended digital and analogue feedback, safety and high reliability. To avoid switching off the device during inrush currents, it also closely tracks the dynamic overcurrent threshold profile of the load current. The current in each channel can be sensed by a programmable sense ratio. Whenever communication with an external microcontroller is interrupted, the device enters a faulty operation mode, but continues to operate and control the current.
